Arriving by Car

Ruhr-University is easily accessible by car and provides many parking facilities. The easiest way is to follow A43 and take exit “Ruhr-Universität” to reach the Universitätsstrasse. Follow the road until you see the sign “Universität Mitte” and enter the campus (see video). Then follow the signs for P9, which is a parking close to the event. After leaving your car, you can enter the stairs/elevator to get to “Veranstaltungszentrum”.

Train Travel and Public Transport

At Bochum’s main train station, ICE, IC, EC, regional trains and city trains arrive and depart in quick succession. You can reach the Ruhr-University, which has its own station, easily by catching the underground (U-Bahn) train U35 (CampusLinie). On workdays, the U35 (going to Bochum Hustadt) departs in five-minute intervals, and it takes less than 10 minutes to go from the main train station to the university station (see video).
